Where do we meet you and how long will it take?

I meet with couples in my home office in Mt Evelyn where I have easy access to all my resources, or via Zoom. These meetings can occur on a range of weekdays, weekends and weeknights. Will take between 30mins to an 1hour, depending on whether you me book on the spot or not. We have a fun get-to-know-you chat.

Can we write our own vows and have what we want?

YES, you can write/create your own everything if you like, as long as we include the legals. My detailed inspiration package gives you lots to think about and choose from.

How long will the ceremony be?

Most ceremonies, from walking down the aisle to the couple exiting, are between 15 and 25 minutes. This varies depending on your content and is a great length for a fun and meaningful ceremony with all guests listening and engaged.

I would 100% recommend Julie Byrne to any couple looking to get married in the future. From the day we contacted Julie she was all in and fully supportive of our hopes and dreams for our special day. Julie kept in contact with us and made our journey of planning super easy. Come our wedding day Julie had everything ready, set to rock n roll and produced an incredible ceremony. Can you sign NOIM form on the wedding day?

My friend got married recently but she felt like she was pressured by the groom's family as everything happened in just a day. The celebrant filled the NOIM form, did the vows and gave the couple a marriage certificate, all on the same day. Is it even legal? Don't you need atleast a month gap between the NOIM lodgement and wedding day? Marriage has not been registered yet so she wants to cancel her wedding. Is there any way?

The Noim form needs to be signed by at least one party one month, or longer, beforehand. One party to the marriage can sign it on the day. But, the celebrant should be in contact with the other party to ensure they are aware a NOIM has been lodged with the celebrant and that a marriage is planned. They also should have both received a copy of the Happily ever before and after brochure, counselling information and how to make a complaint before the wedding. And, they celebrant has to gain consent from each party beforehand, separately.

Can I have a friend as my celebrant

What are the logistics of having a friend be your celebrant, whilst getting an official celebrant to organise the legal side of things? We want to do the legals on the day so we don't have to get officially married before/after our wedding day. Is this a service that many celebrants offer? Ideally also with guidance for the friend who has never done this before

Yes it certainly can. The best way to do it is to get your friend to deliver the ceremony but the celebrant does everything else with legals, supplying resources to help write the ceremony, logistics, sound, organisation, stage management, etc.
