OVERVIEW

Let me do your wedding your way - I am open to your ideas and I am genuinely interested in creating a personalised ceremony unique to you.

Meeting couples, hearing their ‘story’, then planning a memorable ceremony is my passion. Let’s start creating a ceremony that reflects you as an individual couple. No two ceremonies should ever be the same! If you have children then consider including them in your big day - they need to feel loved too. And if you're children just happen to have paws then lets include them as well!

I am located in the township of Maryborough, which is the centre of the historic Victorian Goldfields region, also known as the Golden Triangle. Imagine Bendigo to the north, Ballarat to the south and Maryborough slightly to the west and you have all the historic towns such as Maldon, Castlemaine, Daylesford and Hepburn Springs within our reach. This gives you the choice of many wineries, lovely historic homes, gardens and parks to have your ceremony. Low key affairs in backyards are always a lot of fun too.

I will guide you through the legal paperwork, organise meetings when and where is mutually suitable and insist on a rehearsal at no extra cost. Please give me a call to organise a free no-obligation meeting to discuss your requirements and the services I can provide. Before giving a quote I prefer to meet up and detail my professional services. Good Celebrants set the theme for your wedding day, so choosing the right one and feeling relaxed with them is essential. I hope to hear from you soon.

About

I have been a registered Civil Marriage Celebrant for over three years and have enjoyed every minute of it. Having been a receptionist, admin and customer service officer most of my working life, I find being a marriage celebrant is by far the best career change I could have made. If you are happy in your work then it is not work, it is a pleasure!

FAQ

I only conduct one wedding per day. It is essential the celebrant is there for you if there are any unexpected delays.

Unexpected usually means something out of your control, such as an illness or bad weather. The weather can cause plan B to come into action, therefore a change of venue at the last moment could be necessary. Extra travelling and set up time for plan B may need to be taken into account.

Your guests have been invited to attend at a specific time, so it is bad manners to turn up late for your own wedding, unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Guests will usually be happy with a few minutes delay, but if you arrive later than that the vibe of your wedding will go downhill quickly.

If we're getting married in a garden, do we need a undercover plan B for weather reasons?

Janet Regan Wedding Celebrant

Always have a plan B if you have an outdoor wedding. No matter the season, the weather can change very quickly. In March a wedding I officiated was hit by a very unexpected wind storm then hail - everything was blown away! Luckily I had persuaded the couple to have a plan B which ended up being used at the last minute.

All the best on your special day,

Janet

can celebrants offer advice on vows? or even coach us?

Janet Regan Wedding Celebrant

Yes, celebrants can offer advice on vows, there is no need to coach you. The legal vows need to be said first, followed by your own heartfelt words, though some couples choose only to have the legal vows. We can provide samples to give you inspiration and also guide you in writing your own original vows. On your wedding day the words can be repeated after the celebrant (who should say them softly for only you to hear) or you can read from written cards. Your celebrant will guide you through the whole process so you can enjoy your wedding ceremony.
