A burgundy suit makes a bold and stylish statement, and the right shoes will complete the look. Here are the best colour choices:

1. Classic & Timeless: Brown Shoes

  • Dark brown leather or oxblood shoes pair seamlessly with burgundy, keeping the look sophisticated and warm.
  • Lighter brown or tan can work for a more relaxed or daytime event.

2. Sleek & Modern: Black Shoes

  • Black dress shoes (oxfords or loafers) create a sharp, formal contrast, perfect for evening events or weddings.
  • Works best if the suit has darker undertones or is being paired with a black tie or black accessories.

3. Unique & Stylish: Burgundy Shoes

  • Matching burgundy or deep oxblood shoes create a monochromatic, high-fashion look.
  • Best for those who want a cohesive, polished aesthetic.

Shoe Styles to Consider:

  • Oxford shoes – A classic, formal choice.
  • Loafers – Great for a sleek, modern, or summer wedding look.
  • Derby shoes – Slightly more relaxed but still elegant.

For a well-balanced look, match your belt and accessories to your shoe colour.

The best colour shoes to wear with a burgundy suit is brown, unless you want the viewer to reflect the glance to your shoes, in that case sand or tan shoes will work. The aim of the game is to keep the focus on you, and the eye focused on you and your statement suit. Hence harsh contrasts will only deflect from what you are trying to achieve when you rock a burgundy suit.

We would definately suggest using a brown shoe.

Choose a warmer richer tone to compliment the suit rather than a mustard tone.

Black will also work should you want to create a more formal look but will be a little heavy.
