I don't think there is an age limit as such. It is more of a preference. A flowergirl or pageboy is seen to be the "cute" factor in all weddings, so a younger girl or boy is always prefered (3-8yrs). That doesn't mean that an older girl cannot fullfill this role. However, the older girls(10-16yrs) tend to resemble brides more than give that "cuteness" to the event. In saying that, the older girls can awlays give a "wow" factor without so much the "cuteness" feel. Here at OhMy! Creations we cater for all agaes from 2-16. We make many flower girls and have made flower girls form 6 week old up to 16 years. I dotn think there is an age for flwoer girls but from the age of 13 they do start to call them junior flowergirls.
