OVERVIEW

New Yorker, Ariane Goldman, was spending too much money on bridesmaid dresses she never wore again. She created ‘twobirds’ – the perfect solution to the bridesmaid dress dilemma. In 2009, the brand was launched in Australia by Vanessa Sher from its flagship store in trendy Surry Hills, Sydney.

Inspired by a 1970s Norma Kamali ‘Infinity’ dress, the twobirds dress is the ultimate fashion statement and solution to making your closest girlfriends look and feel fantastic .

Made from a luxurious non-crease silk jersey blend, the dress is infinitely versatile and suits all shapes (yes, it is all the same dress). Classically stylish and timeless, it can be worn differently over and over again, even after the wedding – effectively killing two birds with one dress!

The bodice straps can be tied, twisted, knotted and folded to create necklines from plunging to strapless to capped sleeve. Available in two sizes only and multiple lengths. Twobirds allows bridesmaids to feel glamorous at the wedding while mainting consistency and elegance for the pictures that will last forever.

Proudly Australian made.

The Two Birds Dress was perfect - and now 2 months later, 2 of my girls have even reworn it for formal events - definitely an elegant choice with lots of flexibility, and ability to rewear (I was tempted to get one for myself!)

Bridesmaid and Pregnant

My best friend asked me to be her bridesmaid over 12 months ago. I just found out I am pregnant with baby #2 and will be roughly 7 months along for the big day. I am nervous about telling her because I don't want her to feel like I've ruined her day. She's had a few things happen recently which haven't been what she's planned for her big day, so I've held off telling her until 'the time is right'. Should I trust she'll be happy with my news or have I put another link in her day?

Congratulations! I also agree with Wild Violet :). Tell her and have a plan B for your dress (we can help you there) and some suggestions to make the day easy for both of you ready when you do. This will make her feel you are still giving her wedding all the importance it deserves. All the best.
