Get Expert Adviceshould i ask my sister in law to be my bridesmaid??
i feel like she might feel left out if i dont pick her but we're not exactly close... i definitely have better friends than her i could choose to be my bridesmaids but im just stuck trying to please everyone i suppose. thoughts???

Hi There,
I am inclined to say not too, particually as you have close friends that will likely forfull the roll. An exception to that would be if you have a brother that is a groomsman in which case you should include the sister in law. Perhaps she can be a witness instead, that still requires her to be up the front for a small time and I think it is quite an honour. Or failing that she could read a poem at the ceremony.
Good luck and I hope your wedding is everything you hope for

If I'm having a bridesman and a bridesmaid, can you recommend where to get an outfit for him too?
Wild Violet
Hi There! I love this idea of breaking the mould and including your male friends or brothers in the bridal party.
You can find some lovely well priced, well fitting suits in some of the mainstream menswear shops in major shopping centers. I would suggest having it different to the groomsman but one that is complimentary to your bridesmaid. I would definatly style the suit with a tie made in the same colour/ fabric as the bridesmaid. It is a masculane way of bringing the two looks together.
Good luck and enjoy your wedding planning xx WV
who pays for the bridesmaid dresses
Wild Violet
Hi Melissa, typically we have the majority of bridesmaids paying for thier own dresses and shoes with the bride paying for hair and makeup and perhaps a little gift. In the past if the bride chose a particularly expensive dress then the bride would pay some toward the cost.
Good luck!
