What's the usual lead time on bomboniere please?
Wedding Glasses by Groovy Glass
We always advise couples a minimum of 4 weeks notice for your bomboinere. The last thing you want is to have hold ups with delivery etc. Our suggestion is get your bomboniere ordered as soon as you can rather than leave it to the last minute.
Bride or groom first on thank you?
On the thank you card attached to the Bombonerie, does the bride or groom go first? Similar to the invite?
Wedding Glasses by Groovy Glass
There is no wrong or right here. Entirely up to you and your partner. The tradition is that the Brides name goes first on invites then after that the marriage its the Grooms name first. Hope this helps.
Do we have to have favours for the guests?
Wedding Glasses by Groovy Glass
This question is often asked by couples. The answer is no. Its your day you can do whatever you want. Wedding favours are a gesture of thanks to your guests. Wedding favours, guest gifts or Bomboneire are the different terminolgy given. There is a long history of wedding bomboneire that evolved with the French and then moved across to Europe. Don't feel pressured to do a wedding favour if that's not what you and your partner want to do. Many couples use the favour as part of the table setting for their guests, including colour themes and name tags. These days there is a lot on offer in this area and many couples are DIY their gifts. Enjoy your wedding planning and I hope the above helps you.
