This bride and groom were determined to leave their stamp on their Australiana wedding day – literally.
“Ben had a wedding crest designed for the day which we had watermarked to the wedding invitations addding just that little bit more of a personal feel to our special event,” describes bride Naomi Williams, 26. “The same crest was stamped on the wooden coasters, which we individually cut, polished and had stamped, which made for perfect bomboniere.”
She married her true love Ben Hawley, 30, at Rose Cottage in Gilmore, ACT on November 22, 2014. Naomi’s gown was made with Italian lace and Swarovski crystals by her mother, who also made the bridesmaid dresses. “There are not too many women today who can say their mother made their fairy-tale dress for their special day,” smiles Naomi.
And the custom-make designs didn’t stop there. The couple worked to create a “wooden wonderland” for the reception with a rustic mixture of Australian and vintage table flowers. There was also a handmade guest book from Poland and candle holders which they cut, sanded and stained themselves.
“But the true beauty of our wedding came from our glow on the wedding day,” says Naomi.

“It turned out that three of the men in the bridal party including the groom had Nissan Nivaras,” explains Naomi.
“Of course we couldn’t have our wedding without our adored pets as part of our special day,” says Naomi.
Bridesmaids were given their choice of boots to purchase for the day.
The couple honeymooned in Fiji.
