Being authorised as a Marriage Celebrant sixteen years ago, is one of the nicest things that has ever happened to me! Since then I have been privileged to marry hundreds of couples, and every ceremony, unique and romantic, remains a special memory for me too!

Did you know that you can write your own marriage vows if you wish to? Some brief legal wording is required (which constitute the legal marriage), but you are free to make the romantic promises of your dreams.

I have extensive examples of complete ceremonies, including vows, readings, rituals and symbolism (such as the Medieval Handfasting Ceremony, Sands of Unity Ceremony, or Candle of Life Ceremony), and you are free to introduce any wording that you wish to make your ceremony a very personal statement of your love for each other, to commemorate and honour this turning point in your lives.

Sometimes couples have cultural ties to other countries, and want to honour their ancestral past by including some special and meaningful rituals. Occasionally marrying couples want children from previous relationships to be included in the ceremony to make them feel part of the new family.
